"At the miniscule price of £3 you'd be a fool not to buy one, it is literally cheaper than a pint, and provides infinitely more pleasure." - Clinic Presents (on issue 1)

Look inside
The second issue of 'Young, Fresh and Relevant' has 32 pages of new text-based work from ten artists. Some have exhibited internationally; some have never before had their writing published. As with the first issue there was no theme for the submissions, but what links the artists is their use of writing as a medium, like any other artistic medium, within their practice. Through the continuation of this journal the editors hope to create a lasting picture of contemporary art writing.
As the start of an ongoing exploration by the editor into the relation between German and English the submissions were accepted for this issue in both languages. In edition to this four of the English texts have been translated into German. This step aims not only to make the journal more accessible, but also offer readers who are bilingual an alternative way of approaching each work.
"I think quite a lot about skinned testicles. Today I had poached eggs, which I made in the proper way. This is the second time I have done this; the first time they resembled a botched abortion and were inedible."
